Lower Year Representative Application

The application for Lower Year Representative positions is now OPEN until October 1.

Role Description:

The Legal Studies Society is seeking undergraduate students in years 1-4 to represent the mission of our Society: to create a welcoming community within the Department of Sociology and Legal Studies between our students and professors with diverse interests. As a Society, we commit to supporting current undergraduate students who have law-related interests and aspirations. To be considered for this role, the applicant must be enrolled in Sociology and/or Legal Studies courses throughout the 2019-2020 academic year. A prospective/declared major or minor in Legal Studies is an asset. The Lower Year Representatives are under the supervision of Vice President of Education (Berrihan Azzam).

Duties may include the following:
– Sharing our posts / announcements on your own social media platforms.
– Communicating about upcoming events to friends and peers.
– Regularly attending Society events.
– Helping out at events (i.e. set-up, take-down, representing the Society at Clubs Day(s), etc).
– Assisting the Vice President of Education to successfully complete the tasks designated to their role.
